Imagine: A 12 hectare (15 acre) jungle reserve right at the beach and a nature lodge with only four bungalows. We leave a lot of room to the monkeys, iguanas and parrots.

The bungalows are located amidst a tropical garden and perfectly hidden in the jungle. With all the privacy you desire. Our restaurant and lobby are on a small observation platform with a view of the gulf and beach.
Learn from our iguanas. Hang out in the lush vegetation and take things easy. We got miles of solitude on the beach, we got hammocks, we got the sound of the waves and the smell of tropical flowers.

What do we offer?

-Four romantic bungalows secluded in a tropical garden, each spacious and fully screened. At the first floor equiped with a double bed or two single beds, a living area,a celing fan ans a private bathroom. The comfortable upper deck hasa double bed and a balcony.

-Eight comfortable cabins each on a wooden platform, four with ocean view. each cabin is fully screene, has aprivate balcony and is equipped with a double bed or two singlebeds. In an extra building are shared bathrooms (showers and toilets).

-Located right at a 14 mile stretch of sandy bead

-Great swimming, jogging, horseback riding, kayaking and many other activities

-Spacious rooms with private bathroom, ceiling fans, mosquito nets and a terrace with hammocks

-Great bird watching, self-guided nature trail through private reserve, rainforest tours

-Restaurant with national cuisine.

We're delicious ...

Rich local food is the specialty of our restaurant. Enjoy our fresh fish dinners or our breakfasts with platanos (bananas), papayas, mangos and other tropical fruit. Relax in the hammock with a fresh fruit punch or a tropical long drink.

We're conservative...

The Playa PreciOsa project is fully devoted to conservation. The entire property is part of the National Refuge Platanares/PreciOsa that also includes adjacent mangrove and beach areas. We also support protection of valuable areas of primary forest close to Corcovado National Park. Our self-guided nature trail starts right behind your bungalow.

We're cozy and comfortable ...

Our bungalows are spacious with a comfortable upper deck and balcony. In the evening you sit and listen to the voices of the jungle. From your bed you can watch the animals in the morning. On the tiled ground floor you find your private bathroom, a second bed and a table with chairs. Electricity is available in the evening.

Golfo Dulce and Osa Peninsula rate among Costa Rica's most valuable biological zones. Diferent species of dolphin roams in the waters of this secluded gulf. Around Playa PreciOsa Lodge you will frequently see scarlet macaws. Except for the Osa Peninsula they are only found in one more spot in all of Costa Rica. Endangered species of sea turtles lay their eggs at the beach right in front of your bungalow. Our self-guided nature trail and our excursions tell you more about this

We do not have one of those tiny pools. The Golfo Dulce is right in front of your bungalow and it is great for swimming, sea kayaking, boating and fishing. And we are right on the longest beach of the Osa Peninsula. 20 kilometers (14 miles) of sand and surf in an area hardly developed at all. Ride, run, relax ...
