DANTA CORCOVADO LODGE
Danta Corcovado Lodge’s accommodations exude warmth, creativity, and style. Unwind in one of our hammocks after a long day of adventure or simple spend the day disconnecting from your hectic lives letting Mother Nature heal and energize.
Enter the lodge admiring the beautiful mahogany porch, saved from the family’s old house built 25 years ago, strung with hammocks and decorated with oversized Surá trunk chairs and accompanied by amoeba like teak tables. All wood used in constructing the lodge is made from reforested wood that Merlyn’s father, Juvenal, planted 15 years ago.
All details are uniquely designed from leftover stumps, branches, and odd pieces left behind by our neighbors; here at Danta nothing goes to waste. Our rooms are a delightful combination of simplicity and a splash of whimsical creativity: polished teak floors, ceiling fans, screened twisted branch windows, comfortable Surá beds with unique towering headboards, tree “cookie” mirrors and bedside tables, clean and colorful bedding and towels, and many more distinctive details.
Danta Corcovado Lodge is a 35 hectare farm located in Guadalupe (La Palma), conveniently 8km away from the Los Patos sector of Corcovado National Park, and the closest place to the Guaymi Indigenous Reserve. We are in the heart of the Osa Peninsula and an ideal location in which to explore the attractions of the zone.

Our ideal goal is to foster responsible community development by encouraging local business growth, such as: buying locally homemade bread, dairy products, vegetables and fruits, building trails to support farmers conserve their forests, supporting local artisans, local nature guides, etc.
Our dining room overlooks a charming creek and towering rainforest. All meals are prepared by locals and are authentic Costa Rican dishes. We specialize in heart of palm creations, and try to be innovative with what is in season so that you will enjoy a variety of tastes.
