Parrot Bay Village is a full service Costa Rican Beach & Nature resort offering state of the art Sport fishing as well as nature and adventure tours. It is conveniently located just outside of the small beach town of Puerto Jimenez , Osa Peninsula , Costa Rica . The eight private cabinas are centered within an exotic botanical garden in a mangrove lagoon with views of the Ocean. Wildlife is abundant with various species of monkeys, Iguanas, Scarlet Macaws, Toucans, and other exotic birds. There is a safe swimming beach right outside your bungalow with warm and calm waters. An open-air restaurant and bar offers tropical breakfast, lunch and international cuisine for dinner.

Our cabinas have been completely refurbished and beautifully finished in tropical hardwood, each having their own name and uniquely carved door. The spacious interiors have ceramic tiled floors, air conditioning, ceiling fans and private baths with real hot water showers, and are fully furnished with table and chairs. Some cabinas have safe deposit boxes.The cabinas are surrounded by a tropical garden and located only a few meters from the beach. The cabinas are right next to the beach. The beach is normally deserted and offers good walking and exploring. There are no rip tides or undercurrents and it is good for swimming. It is a "Pacific" beach and not the white sand or crystal clear waters of, for example, Jamaica.

We are located within the mangroves and on the beach so there are flying and crawling insects. Mosquitoes and purrujas (no-see-ums) can be bothersome usually at dusk for a short amount of time. It is good protection if you apply insect repellant or wear shoes and socks, and lightweight pants and a long sleeved shirt at that time of day. We also have numerous species of ants, some have very painful bites but the pain is very short lived in duration and usually quickly forgotten. The windows of the cabinas have screens and air-conditioning to ensure your good night sleep.

The hotel has ocean kayaks and mountain bikes that are for rent on a daily basis. There are a number of souvenir shops located just a 10 minute walk in Pto. Jimenez.

Massage
The masseuse offers massage therapy sessions to foster a greater sense of health and relaxation, in the privacy of your cabina. $45-for 60 minutes

Yoga
If requested we can arrange private or group yoga sessions. Price to be arranged

Guests are encouraged to bring only lightweight, casual clothing, sunscreen, a bathing suit, sturdy shoes or hiking boots, insect repellant and a large-beam flashlight. Binoculars are recommended.

Parrot Bay Village operates American made Seavee’s specifically built and chosen to fish the Southern Pacific waters of Costa Rica. The 29.6 foot boats feature walk around center consoles and are equipped with an under the console marine head for privacy, an extra large custom “T” top provides shade, and comfortable seating for 4 anglers and 2 crew. In addition these boats feature flush mounted cleats for smooth obstacle free fishing, rocket launcher, a large lighted live bait well, 12 gunnel mounted rod holders, redundant electrical and bilge pump systems. Twin 115 Suzuki outboard 4-stroke engines, smokeless, quiet and dependable for an effortless 27-knot cruise, power both Seavees.

These Seavee’s have the latest in electronics, Furuno GPS moving map plotter, color eco sounder with temperature gauge, VHF radio, and standardized US coast guard safety equipment. Parrot Bay Village has equipped the Seavee’s with overhead mounted outriggers, Penn International and Shimano reels and custom manufactured rods by Ken Brogan from Point Pleasant New Jersey.
