When we first came to the Osa, we felt its magical quality. The time here seemed somehow different and each new discovery made every day an adventure. We want to make your stay here a memorable experience.

The Osa Peninsula is the last great frontier in Costa Rica. It is a land full of wonder. We live on the Golfo Dulce, which is one of only four tropical fiords in the world.  At its center it plunges to a depth of over 1000 feet and averages 84 degrees year round. It is home to pods of wild dolphin, the nesting place of sea turtles and winter waters for whales.

Our beach is one of the most beautiful in the world and adventure is close at hand with some excursions beginning right at our backdoor. From our area it is possible to see a vast variety of birds, mammals and insects. It was called by National Geographic "the most biologically intense place on earth". When you see it you will understand why. It all waits here, in the heart of the jungle. Come join us.

Lodging

We think the jungle is more enjoyable when you have a beautiful place to return home to after your day's adventures.  

Your stay will be in one of our 'tree house cabinas' which are over 15 feet in the air amongst tree canopy and have two bedrooms, a private veranda, garden area and private bath with a tropical garden indoor/outdoor hot water shower. There is a comfortable queen and single bed with Egyptian cotton sheets in the upstairs room and two single beds in the garden room. Taking in the view while swaying in a hammock in the breeze is a pleasure from these rooms. Your bungalow overlooks the entire property and gardens where we have planted nearly 4000 specimens of tropical plants and flowers and is located less than 50 meters from the beach. We are creating a peaceful retreat on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

We also are providing alternate accommodations for the more adventurous (or frugal) traveler. In addition to the tree house cabinas, we also have our 'cabin-ettas'. These cabins, situated a bit closer to the ground, are nestled in the tropical gardens and furnished comfortably with either a queen or two single beds, complete with linens, fans and skylights. Our cabinetta guests have their own full bath in our fully appointed hot water bamboo bathhouse.

We aim our endeavors towards the eco-tourist, with conservation in mind. To this end, our construction has been using local materials - not from the rainforest, with local crafts persons and gentle construction techniques that have a low impact on the land and soil. Come join us.

The Beach
Swimming here is a pleasure. The water averages 84 degrees and we are on the only sandy beach on the Osa. You can walk for miles and be truly alone on our beach. There are only a few other inhabitants on this protected gulf. The waves are usually gentle and are very good for body surfing or boogie boards. Larger waves are available for serious surfers about 30 minutes away. Our beach is best for lovers of nature, quiet and beauty.
